Holiday Season......

Thanksgiving and Black Friday are OVER! If those two days are going to be how this whole holiday season is going to go, I opt to stay home in the bed! Although parts of it was rather fun, or maybe the lack of sleep made it more fun in appearance! I got most of my Christmas shopping done! I do have to say that didnt get the two major things that intended to get, Power Ranger Jungle Fury Megazord for the Elijah monster. And Hulk Smash gloves for the Pate. I have been looking for about 3 weeks for em, and they are always sold out. Looks like I will have to order online. Now, I am going to do everything I can to get these for the boys, since thats all they are asking for. No other thing is on their list, thats it. So as to not break their lil spirits, I am on a mission. I got already a whole bunch of stuff.... board games, Handy Manny tools, tent/camping stuff, LeapFrog stuff. Nothing too big, I have already gotten rid of SOOOOO many toys and don't want a lot of clutter. It looks like time to get on with FreeCycle and get someone to pick these toys up.

Noting the boyds

I really feel like the rug is being pulled from underneath me all the time. I cant keep up with life, and my mind is always moving in a speeding direction. Unfortunately my body is moving in the slow lane. I am going crazy at work, cant focus. So when I do get a min, I will play catch up, and post about things, like Halloween, my new nephew Coy, and other Boyd happenings!

P for Pate

Ok, so we were supposed to set our clocks back last night, and for the most part, we did. Except for the one most important clock in the house....Elijahs internal clock! The boy woke up at what was supposed to be 6:30, but is now 5:30. My husband is up too, playing on his xbox360, so that should count for something huh!? Nope, "mommy, I want a cup of milk" "mommy Pate is stinky", "mommy I want breakfast" so guess who gets up to do it, MOMMY!
So an hour into being awake Peyton decides he wants a cup of milk too. So I drag my happy ass into the kitchen and pour a cup of milk. Peyton says "P for Pate" and points to the magnetic letters on the fridge. Elijah being the lil smart ass that he is says "Mommy, I can spell Pate." He grabs the P, puts it in a central location, then starts looking for something, telling me he doesn't need help. I told him I would be right back, I returned to 2 very happy lil boys, and see this .........P8. Get it P eight? He spelled Pate! LOL

Yester is a day

I never thought I would let my boys watch Spongebob, but of course I have lowered my guard, and now they are in love with a talking sponge, and a starfish as smart as a kitchen table. But I am not going to complain, as at one point I LOVED sbsp. Way before I had kids! Before I didnt have to worry about finding a babysitter so I can spend time with my husband. Before I had to pack extra clothes, Pull-Ups, assorted cups and toys. Before I could walk in my house with no shoes, and not almost break my foot on a lone Lego. When I was able to lay in my bed naked, when I could cuddle with my husband, when I could eat breakfast at noon. Gone are the days when I could do an impromptu shopping trip at 2am. Gone are the days when I could eat fast food, and not have to worry about it sticking to my tummy. Gone are the days of having a tiny waist and large brain. Now my waist is big, and my brain is small. Now are the days of "Mommy I love you". Now are the days of slobbery kisses, strong bear hugs. Now are the days of character underwear and bright colored clothes. Now are the days of endless chicken nuggets and cups of milk. Now are the days of fighting, nonsleeping, and not wanting to take a bath. Now are the days of mommy giving in, and kids winning over. Now are the days that one lessoned learned is a life time lesson. Now is the day when rainbows arent just pretty colors, but one of the biggest fasinations ever. Now are the days of Power Rangers, Dinosaurs, magic coins, treasure boxes, and baby monkeys. Now is the day of learning colors, shapes, names, reasons, family, sharing, caring, loving and fighting. Now is the days field trips, sick days, and art work. Now are the days of jumping in the mud, and not realizing how long its going to remove mud from the tub. Now are the days of endless love and endless wondering. I do belieive these are the days that I want.

Full circle

Oh, its been a long day! I wrote a man named Adam Baker, a policy for $15,000 which would have made me $475. Well it came back from the bank as "Unable to locate account" so I called the man back. He gave me another account number, again same thing. So I called him this morning, and he gave me the same number, but one digit differently. So after I got off the phone with him, I called the bank to verify it, and again not a real bank account number. So around 4pm, I called him back. Well turns out that he was one of those idiot guys who likes to pull telemarketers chains. He was not for real about anything. Every bit of info he gave me was total BS. I did a reverse search on his phone number, and found out his real name and address.
Although I am upset that he has messed with me like that, I have to remember that what goes around comes around.

2008 what?!?!?

I know I am such a slack ass blogger, oooopppps! I have been so freaking busy this year. And in retrospect, I haven't done anything more than work, fuss, and sleep all of 2008 away. I am going to spend the next part of 2008 catching up on LIFE, and spending more time with my kids, and living life outside of the cube farm!

Smart lil monkey!

Eli: Mommy I know what I want Santa to bring me for Christmas!!
Mom: What do you want him to bring you?
Eli: A huge giant fire truck, and a baby monkey!!! (Eyes are all big and wondrous)
Mom: Oh wow a monkey, hmmmm, you do know that they wear diapers, right?
Eli: I know, I am going to teach him to use the toilet like me!
Mom: Elijah, you can teach him that, can you teach Peyton first?
Eli: No mom, Peyton isnt a monkey.
Mom: Ok, so what are you going to feed this monkey?
Eli: Dont you know monkeys eat bananas?
Mom: Yeah, but where are you going to get bananas for him?
Eli: At the store!! (Eyes are as big as plates at this point)
Mom: So, who is going to take care of the monkey when you are at school?
Eli: Oh, he can come with me, and hide in my back pack
Mom: Elijah, you dont have a backpack.
Eli: Well mommy when you go to the store to get the bananas you can buy me a backpack!!

Now why didnt I think of that one?

Kids are crazy

Mommy: Whats your name little boy?
Elijah: Me
Mommy: Ok, if you were lost in the woods, and someone found you, what would you tell them your name is?
Elijah: (after a thought out pause) Go find my mommy and daddy!

I laughed so hard, it wasn't what I was expecting at all. Its what a kid would say though, don't ya think!

Proud mama moments :D

Ok, so since I started working, I haven't had time to blog. I will catch up this weekend though, since the older kids will be here, to help chorale the boys :D

I just wanted to stop in and share some of the joys of my days: my boys! Elijah can now add. He can add to 7 (6+1, 5+2). I am so proud of him. Hes such a sponge, hes picking up on everything. watching my words these days! LOL!!
Speaking of words (no pun intended) Pate is a little talkative thing too! He says "Pate" its so cute! He tells people hes 2, and attempts to hold up 2 fingers.
